Overview

The Humanoid Robot Avatar Set represents one of LB3D’s most complete and technically refined Unity packages —
a collection of nine unique robotic avatars designed for full humanoid animation compatibility.

Each character follows Unity’s Mecanim avatar standard, meaning any animation pack — Mixamo, Unity Store, or custom — can be applied instantly.
The designs blend retro-futurism and mechanical elegance, rendered in 4K detail for cinematic presentation.

“Easily integrated using industry-standard humanoid rigs — every joint, every movement just works.”

These avatars were meticulously crafted in ZBrush and retopologized for optimal performance.
Textures were baked and painted for realism across Built-in, URP, and HDRP render pipelines.

Design Concept

This project began as an exploration of machine personality.
Each unit reflects a different design era — from 1950s appliance enamel to 1970s construction orange, and beyond.

The forms are deliberately modular: the rubberized joints flex like industrial tubing,
while the torso and head shells show scuffing, paint wear, and utility markings that make them feel used yet enduring.

Nine unique styles are included:

  1. 1970’s Industrial
  2. 1950s Appliance Blue
  3. 1950s Appliance White
  4. Construction Bot (Hazard Yellow)
  5. Black Painted Metal (Scratched)
  6. Tempered Metal
  7. Graffiti Variant
  8. Digital Camo
  9. Brown / Retro

Each version is more than a recolor — materials and wear patterns were tuned per character to tell its own story.

Each model shares the same mechanical structure and bone system,
making them interchangeable within animation setups or multi-character scenes.

Pipeline Compatibility

  • Built-in Pipeline: Standard, ready out-of-box.
  • URP: Verified compatible with Unity 2021.3.22f1+.
  • HDRP: Fully supported; perfect for cinematic and VR use.

These robots were built to scale across platforms —
from mobile and desktop games to high-end simulations or virtual production.

Texture Overview

Every character includes:

  • Color (Albedo) Map — Hand-painted and baked PBR materials
  • Normal Map — Soft mechanical wear
  • Metallic Map — Accurate reflectivity for steel and polymer parts

That’s a total of 27 texture files (4K each) across the nine avatars —
resulting in detailed realism even under harsh lighting.

Final Thoughts

The Humanoid Robot Avatar Set is a culmination of technical polish and design storytelling.
It’s not just a collection of models — it’s a toolkit for breathing life into mechanical beings.

Every joint, scratch, and flexed panel was crafted for believability within the Unity ecosystem,
while remaining light enough for real-time performance.

This is the definitive LB3D humanoid collection —
built to move, built to last, built to perform.
