Overview

The Stabber — an eyeball-slug creature with a jagged stabbing appendage and an unblinking, judgmental stare.
Equal parts grotesque and fascinating, this creature slides somewhere between horror and absurdist surrealism — a slug that sees, stabs, and occasionally wobbles.

Design and Concept

This monster is built to be a simple mob enemy, the kind that oozes through alien halls or haunted laboratories before lunging at the player.
It comes in high and low poly versions, offering a choice between visual fidelity and efficiency for larger swarms.

Despite its simplicity, the Stabber has an uncanny presence — its eyeball glints with life, and its barbed appendage arcs forward with unsettling intent.
The base model captures that uneasy organic-mechanical tone often seen in retro sci-fi horror.

Notes on Rendering and Scenes

The preview videos and images were rendered using Cinemachine and Post-Processing in a later version of Unity for improved lighting and depth.
The downloadable package includes the base scenes, but for higher fidelity visuals, simply add the same Unity packages used in the previews.

The final two video previews on the Unity page show the unmodified vanilla scenes exactly as they appear upon import —
a good representation of the raw model before advanced rendering enhancements.

Commentary

The Stabber Eyeball Slug embodies the odd charm of LB3D’s design language —
a mix of monstrosity, whimsy, and organic abstraction that feels equally plausible in a sci-fi horror game or a surreal digital art film.
It’s the kind of creature that crawls out of a dream — or maybe a failed genetics experiment.
