Kranion Plague Spreader - Basic View - 3d Model of Facehugger or Headcrab

Kranion - "Plague Spreader" - Facehugger / Headcrab Monster / Creature 3d Model

Created in Zbrush, textured in Zbrush / Substance Painter. Inspired from the Facehugger of Alien. This is a gross horrific creature that spreads plagues and impurity with impunity. It is somewhat like a spider or a hand, or a hand-shaped spider. It is shaped like a hand, and has giant sacks on it’s back for producing or processing things such as eggs, larvae, disease, hive slimes, and things like this. ...

Sluggor 3d Slug Monster, Face View

Updates on the Slug Monster - Unity 3d and Turbosquid (3d Source Model / Blender File)

Here are some texture improvements on the Slug Monster. Before, his textures were generated almost entirely in zBrush. Sadly, zbrush is limited on pixel-detail as well as other types of mappings (such as Subsurface scattering, Metallic / Roughness, etc). So, Substance Painter to the rescue. This slug monster (Sluggor) is now much creepier and ghastly now that his textures have been remastered. See the previews below. Sluggor, Slug Monster - 3d Renders ...

Spider monster closeup, rock shooting arachnirock

Arachnirock Update - Texture Improvements on the Rock Throwing Spider

Having gotten Adobe Substance Painter, I was able to improve the textures on my recent models. The latest improvement is Arachnirock, the rock throwing spider. He was meant to be acquatic in nature, basking in the sun on rocks and sand at the beach, launching rocks out of his snout toward every human and elven passerby. Lately, I’ve been porting them into the Unity 3d High Definition Render Pipeline to see the model in the most realistic, real-time way. Here is an example from the Unity HDRP. ...

Centipede eyeball monster, standing up and looking heroic.

An update on the Oculon Eyeball Centipede Monster...

I’ve updated the textures and quality of the Oculon centipede monster model… /product/centipede-monster-with-giant-eyeball-3d-model-rigged-and-animated/ Having invested in a few month’s subscription in Substance Painter, I was able to bring more detail and realism to the textures, whereas before I was using ZBrush only, which has limited capabilities in final texturing. As mentioned in previous posts, this model is mostly inspired on the creature found in the Legend of Zelda, Lanmola. Here in Hawaii, we have lots of centipedes. They are of the larger sort, with very painful stings. Being an insect lover, I was quite happy to have brought this 3d model this far. ...

Slug monster with stabbing limb and eyeball

Eyeball Slug Monster, 3d Game Asset / 3d Model

You can find this 3d model / game asset on Unity 3d https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/creatures/stabber-eyeball-slug-simple-game-enemy-monster-188000 See the demo videos below. Stabber Slug, Eyeball Monster 3d Game Asset / 3d Model This strange monster is the combination of a slug, an eyeball, and a sharp object, all three of which should be repulsive to each-other. Yet I find they go nicely together. It can be tempting to spin off from other monsters in sci-fi, but as often as I can do that (and do at times) its always worth producing something completely original. To the best of my knowledge this sort of monster has not been designed yet. ...

Mossy Monster with Giant Teeth, Body of Waterbear Tardigrade Moss Piglet

Giant Microbial Monster, with Leech Teeth, 3d Model / Game Asset

Something like a leech, something like a walrus, something like a pig. Definitely like a tardigrade, maybe a bit like a game enemy. This is a variant of my tardigrade / waterbear monster: /2021/02/04/waterbear-tardigrade-moss-piglet-3d-model-game-asset/. When I design monsters, I enjoy incorporating the circular tooth arrangement similar to leeches. This guy can easily be pictured rising to the surface of the water like a hippo, making a sound that a giant leech would make, if he were, perhaps, half walrus. ...
